    Job Description

    • Ensuring department KPIs achieve desired results - In-stock, branch stock level, stock % sales, vendor service levels.
    • Fault finding / root cause analysis on all store replenishment related problems, including export order runs and export DC master data.
    • Maintain store replenishment parameters in order to create accurate store orders.
    • Support store operations with regards to all inventory related queries and issues.
    • Data tracking and analysis.
    • Generate high level reports utilizing large volumes of data to inform decisions to management.
    • Relationship Management: Communicate and build relationships with vendors, divisional management, branch personnel, buying community, cross border teams and supply chain to support the department’s ability to achieve KPIs.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Business Sciences/ Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent

    Experience

    • 2-3 Years Supply Chain related experience

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
    • High proficiency in interpreting data to build reports
    • Strong willingness to learn and adapt
    • Strong ability to grasp complex concepts and understand the bigger picture
    • Strong ability to communicate both up and down the hierarchy within a large organization
    • Experienced in root cause analysis/ problem-solving
    • Experience with using analytic tools (Excel, SAP Self Service)

    Job of Description

    • To ensure that timely information is produced and in place that addresses business needs and requirements. The role facilitates effective communication of KPI’s and business processes by eliciting, analyzing, validating, reporting and documenting organisational and/or operational requirements and outcomes. This role must provide technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques within the Supply Chain division.
    • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming, Macro’s, Data studio Dashboards.
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, Google sheets, SAP, INFOR WMS etc).
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
    • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
    • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Degree with specialization in these fields; Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

    Experience

    • 2+ Years experience in a related environment (preferably Supply Chain/ Logistics or Retail)
    • 2+ Years Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Time management – Planning Analysts work under tight project deadlines, which requires good time management skills.
    • Mathematics skills– Planning Analysts have an in-depth knowledge of economics and finance, good mathematics skills is crucial
    • Computer skills – Planning Analysts need strong computer skills to work with various types of software, particularly spreadsheet applications, to create reports, find data, and examine financial information.
    • Problem-solving skills – Planning analysts use problem-solving skills to isolate issues relating to risk, productivity, and other business operations, and find ways to manage and fix these issues.
    • Analytical thinking – Planning Analysts need a high degree of analytical skill to process business data and create detailed financial plans based on their findings.
    • Communication skills – Planning Analysts use strong verbal and written communication skills to speak effectively with other staff members and create detailed written reports.
    • Multitasking – Planning Analysts must successfully manage multiple projects and tasks at once.

    Job Description

    • The main purpose of a Stock Replenisher (Foods) is to manage the inbound Supply Chain by optimizing inventiry mix in the DC through effective management of key supplier accounts and product ranges. The main key receivers are the divisional office, distribution centre and suppliers.
    • This is a Junior Management position and not a store based role, you therefore wont be considered if you dont meet the minimum requirments.

    Accountable For:

    • Forecasting exception management
    • Project management
    • Data analysis and reporting
    • System configuration of supplier accounts to optimize most profitable ordering patterns/frequency;
    • System setup and collaborate with individual suppliers to ensure optimal supply chain synergies
    • Analyze opportunities and align system settings to maximize cost
    • Monitor supplier statistics to ensure adherence
    • Item parameter setting and data analysis to enable optimal forecasting results;
    • Analyze & maintain individual item records
    • Input and maintain market related information into replenishment solution
    • Product lifecycle management;
    • Manage the product life cycle from new item introduction to exit from market
    • Place supplier purchase orders to ensure achieval of Inventory and service level policies;
    • Daily processing of system recommended orders
    • Ensure supplier orders are in line with service level goals and inventory policies
    • Ensure effective delivery scheduling
    • Promotional Planning and Replenishment;
    • Manage inbound product availability in line with divisional promotions
    • Collaborate with suppliers to secure stock for planned promotions
    • Analyze weekly promotional demand exceptions

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Supply Chain or relevant qualification

    • Minimum of two years relevant (Retail/Supply Chain) experience in a similar role

    Sales maximization

    • Consistently maximize branch gross profit through effective management of key gross profit drivers.
    • Maintain stock holding days and stock ordering within required parameters.
    • Maintain 100% consistency and adherence to stock price changes.
    • Take corrective action to address sub-standard sales staff performance.

    Minimization of wastage and in-store markdown (accountable losses) and shrinkage (unaccountable losses)

    • Identify all wastage as per the weekly wastage report and implement corrective steps to minimize wastage.
    • Ensure appropriate measures are implemented to minimize shrinkage for all known high shrinkage items and other items identified as per stock take counting reports.

    Branch sales reporting

    • Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Regional Retail Manager.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and possible challenges, making recommendations for corrective action to proactively address these.

    Effective merchandising and stock availability assurance

    • Ensure that the branch is merchandised according to company layouts and standards.
    • Promotional displays are erected and placed as per buyers’, suppliers and company requirements.
    • In consultation with the Regional Manager, proactively plan, monitor, and maintain consistent stock range availability and movement according to demand and make alternative arrangements for stock shortages, e.g. inter-branch transfers (IBTs).

    Meeting customer expectations

    • Maximize customer loyalty by creating a consumer-friendly environment through effective people and process utilization.

    People Management

    • Lead, motivate, coach, and enable direct reports to meet profitability and customer service standards.
    • Train and develop direct reports according to the core competencies of their roles and ensure coordination of training and the delivery thereof is done in a professional manner.
    • Correctly manage and respond to all disciplinary issues and grievances, when required, in a timely manner.

    Housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance assurance

    • Comply with hygiene and housekeeping standards at all times.
    • Consistently adhere to audit and required legislative standards and statutory requirements.

    Qualifications
    Essential

    • Grade 12 qualification

    Experience
    Essential

    • At least two (2) years of retail sales management or supervisory experience.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound numeracy and retail sales skills.
    • Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
    • Competent in supervising others and leading others, as well as in administrative tasks.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Knowledgeable in payment procedures (e.g. cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
    • Knowledge of supply chain and merchandising standards and principles.
    • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements of various Money Market Transactions.
    • Sound knowledge of safety regulations and hygiene standards.
    • Branch-specific retail systems (e.g. ShopPos; OBS).
