Air dry clay recipe
All you need to make this quickcornstarch clay recipe are a few simple ingredients you probabaly already have on hand:
- 2 cups of baking soda
- 1 cup of corn starch
- 11/2 cup of cold water
- 3-5 drops of peppermint extract (optional)
How to make clay
Combine all ingredients in a large pot and cook uncovered over medium-high heat stirring constantly.It does not take long for the clay to form, but it must be stirred during the entire cooking process. At first the ingredients will bubble and then it will turn more clay-like. Continue to stir the ingredients until you have the consistency of mashed potatoes.Then, remove the pot from the stove and spoon the dough into a large bowl.

They clay is too hot to play with and mold right away. So place a damp cloth over the bowl and allow the clay to cool for 20-30 minutes. The damp cloth helps it stay nice and moiste so you donβt have any dry or cracked oranments later one.
Once cool, remove the clay from the bowl and knead it with clean, dry hands. You can add a little corn starch & knead it in if it is to sticky. As the clay is kneaded it will become smooth and pliable. Seriously, the texture of this air dry clay is amazing!
