Skiing & Snowboarding The Big Horn Mountains region has some of the finest powder in Wyoming. During the winter months, cross-country skiiers will find miles of groomed trails on which to ski in the Big Horn Mountains. Willow Park and Pole Creek, in particular, offer great cross-country skiing opportunities. Downhill skiing is available at the following ski areas:

The Big Horns are one of the top ten areas for snowmobile trails and "one of the nicest snowmobiling areas of the world", according to the SnoWest's Western Guide Winter 2000-2001 issue.
The Big Horns have over 300 miles of groomed trails and 50 miles of ungroomed trails as well as endless miles of cross-country areas. The information below may be useful for snowmobilers interested in snowmobiling in the Big Horns.
