I am a rising Senior, class of 2025, Round Rock Early College High School. Despite the dilema with us having portables as a building, no extra curriculares like sports and fine arts, I have found ECHS has helped me grow and prepare for my future. Round Rock ECHS is a dual-credit school that partners with Round Rock Austin Community College, leaving high schoolers graduating with not only a high school diploma, but also an associate’s degree in either general studies in art or science. ECHS has grown to be a community where students get to lead clubs, use resources that are given at ACC, and create experience that are almost like a regular high school. There are only around 350 students over all in the school which is nice when making a small tight-knit community. As of currently, ECHS is upgrading and getting a new building, opening the doors to more students and more opportunities for students in the upcoming future.

Overall, Round Rock ISD is a very well-rounded school district that offers a wonderful set of opportunities for students and staff alike. The district does well in maintaining campus safety, and providing affordable resources to its diverse student body. Furthermore, there are many resources available for parent/guardians to get more involved with their children's daily activities, and their schools as a whole. There are plenty of available clubs for students of the district, and the district does a wonderful job at supporting each club.

Round Rock ISD is a wonderful school district for any child to attend. The academics prepare students for life after graduation, be it at college, a trade school or starting their career path. The administration listens to the parents and takes their input very seriously. There are many activities and clubs for the students to participate in an order for the child to get a well rounded education. The teachers prepare lessons that are relevant to what is happening in the world and today’s society. The assignments are modified to meet each individual’s needs. There are good academic resources and volunteer opportunities. There is a very strong, positive culture throughout the district among students, teachers, parents and the community. However, the RRISD board needs some help in that area, unfortunately. They are very divided and do not carry the same ideals, bringing down the positive culture that the district could have. Overall though, the district is a great one!
